On Wednesdays from 5-9 during the summer we’re working to grow a fun outdoor environment where patrons can wander the street looking at unique wares, learn about businesses, visit shops, enjoy a beverage or food outside, all while listening to some music on the square! The farmers market is open to booths during this time and we’d love to have a whole “night market” right on the square!

The Downtown Point Stevens Point Alliance is caring for organization and cost of entertainment for most weeks so members are able to set up a booth/stand at no additional charge! If you are not a member and want to set up a stand/booth, we’d love to have you join as a member (click here to learn more), otherwise non-members are charged $25 per event they would like to participate in (click here to sign up and pay your fee).

Since this is such a new event and it takes time to get momentum, we are having people set up booths/stands on a first-come first-serve basis. The day-time farmer’s market ends at 3:30 and we encourage you to be set up for 5pm.

We’d love businesses to stay open later so people can wander down the streets with more room to observe social distancing and have the opportunity to support other small businesses. We want this to be a successful and fun series of events but safe too!

We definitely encourage everyone and anyone to try having a booth but if you cannot we suggest coming up with creative ways to entice people to visit your business during this specific time. For example, you could have something different on display each wednesday, giveaways during that specific time, sales, treats, extra punches for purchases during that time (or points etc.), partner up with another business to encourage people to visit both places, and so much more!

Please share the event on your social media pages and promote coming downtown to your customers. Take the opportunity to use your social media, word of mouth, email marketing and in-person promotion to not only promote the event but another opportunity for people to spend their time, money, and passion downtown! This event can really become a huge opportunity for everyone downtown and we hope you’ll take advantage of it!
